The Ecola Eco-School

Through hands-on environmental education, we connect K–5 students and adult learners in nurturing a community dedicated to the health of our watershed. By collaborating with traditional knowledge holders, conservation non-profits, and local artists, we honor thousands of years of Indigenous care.

Together, we blend ancestral wisdom with local action to protect and sustain our natural world for generations to come.

Our Ecola Streamkeepers Program unites K–5 students, traditional knowledge holders, conservation non-profits, local artists and our community in the vital work of protecting our watershed. Operating as a living classroom within The Cannon Beach Academy, our mission is rooted in deep respect for tribal elders and knowledge holders who sustainably managed this land for thousands of years. Aspiring to walk in their footsteps, we cultivate a shared community commitment to the enduring health of the Ecola Creek Watershed.

The Ecola Eco-School at Cannon Beach Academy is supported by the Ecola Creek Awareness Project, a local 501(c)3 non-profit.
